The open-channel design of our raised garden bed boards insulates the soil in your raised garden bed. Soil stays warmer in the early Spring and Fall, and cooler in the Summer. Regulated soil temperature allows you to grow earlier and longer into the season, and assists plants in growing stronger and healthier, with more yield. Boards are 44.5 inches long, creating a 48-inch span, (once stacking or anchor brackets are attached) and 5.5 inches high. Boards are 1 inch thick and feature an interlocking concave/convex profile to allow stacked boards to lock together (preventing warp or frost push-out). Classic Sienna composite boards feature textural wood-grain finish that blends seamlessly into any environment, and will maintain its natural look and feel for many years.

Installation
Grass Barrier is typically installed 6″ below the soil with a 4″ lip left above ground. Dig a narrow trench 6″ deep around the perimeter of the flower bed, install Grass Barrier vertically and backfill the trench with soil to secure. Work in a linear fashion from one end to the other when back-filling, alternating sides when tamping the dirt to keep Grass Barrier straight and prevent waving. If the material needs to be cut or trimmed this can be done easily with a sharp utility knife. Depending on your exact installation this may be adjusted. Most transverse grass roots typically run in the first 6 inches of soil.

Our long lasting barrier is made in the USA from 100% recycled HDPE. Grass Barrier is not brittle like injection molded material and does not splinter like fiber and composites. Our barrier has a smooth surface for a clean appearance and doesn’t hold dirt. We use 100% HDPE plastic so our product will never rust like metal edging.
