Rain Bird ETIGRDNEC Drip Irrigation Easy-To-Install Raised Bed Garden Watering Kit. This time-saving kit features pre-assembled components and everything necessary to efficiently Drip irrigate up to a 4’ x 8’ raised bed garden and also allows for expansion for larger areas. Water only where you need water to go; help eliminate weeds, increase watering efficiency and grow healthier, higher-yielding vegetables. Pre-cut tubing and pre-inserted fittings dramatically reduce installation time and eliminate guess work. Average install time for a 4’ x 8’ bed is under 10-minutes! The pre-installed components are designed to water any garden up to 4’ x 8’; for smaller areas simply trim tubing to fit size of bed. Easily expand the system to water gardens larger than 4’ x 8’ with the additional tubing and fittings included (see complete listing and description below). To install in a 4’ x 8’ raised bed: 1) attach pressure compensating regulator with filter to 3/4” threaded garden hose. 2) Connect two 18” sections of 1/2” tubing together via pre-installed 1/2”coupler. 3) Attach 1/4″ tubing to 1/2″ sections with pre-installed barbed coupler 4) Roll out 1/4” emitter tubing to desired length (cut or add tubing as needed); plug end with included fittings. 5) Insert galvanized stakes over the 1/2” and 1/4” tubing where necessary to hold it firmly in place. Rain Bird’s brown 1/4” emitter tubing features internal pressure-compensating emitters every 6” to quickly and thoroughly water your garden. A pressure-compensating emitter provides the same flow from beginning to end of tubing assuring all plants are watered evenly. Tubing is UV-resistant, won’t clog and requires no maintenance for trouble-free use season after season. Heavy-duty galvanized stakes are provided to hold all tubing firmly in place. Kit includes: (1) hose connector, (1) pressure regulator, (2) 18” sections of 1/2” tubing with pre-installed 1/2” coupler and end plug, (4) pre-cut 8. 5’ lengths of 1/4” x 6” spaced emitter tubing with pre-installed barbed couplers, (14) galvanized stakes. Convenient kit provides everything you need to Drip irrigate a garden or landscaped area of up to 75 square feet with maximum watering efficiency; hydrating the root zone of plants for better health and water savings up to 65%. Installs easily without any digging or plumbing skills required. Features Rain Bird’s rugged 1/2” emitter tubing with built-in pressure compensating .09 gallon per hour emitters every 18” to provide uniform end-to-end watering of vegetable rows, ground cover and other closely spaced plants. TIPS:
1.Pressure requirements: 25-45PSI.
2.Make sure you put the hose and the connected part of the hose into the hot water for 10 seconds before assembling. It will be easier and as it cools down the tube will stay tight.
3.Suitable for 20-25 square meters of irrigation area. If in a big drip irrigation system, we suggest that using the 1/2″ Tubing as the main line, 1/4″ Tubing as a branch to avoid water pressure is insufficient.
