This tool works well with many of the other brands of lashes on the market that are less than 3/4 inches wide. I have noticed there are some companies marketing metal lash tweezers as applicators but often times the metal is too strong of an attractive force that the magnet won’t release. Also, the magnet is attracted to the entire tool, not just the tips, which can make it more difficult. With our plastic lash tweezer, I have applied some magnetic material only to the tips. The magnetic material does not have a super strong magnetic attraction to the magnets on the lashes (like metal), so they will easily release once the top and under magnets attach onto the natural lashes. This tool is superior to the metal lash tweezers I have tried. The fact that it is plastic, also makes it safer to have in the same make up bag with your lashes. The plastic is lightweight and easy to travel with. How it works: Set the top lash on one tip and the under lash on the other tip. Lashes not included. An alternative to using the tool is to break the two tongs apart which is not too difficult since it is plastic. You can use industrial scissors or bend them back and forth til they break apart. By having the two separated, you may have more control in setting the lashes as needed to apply them. It also gives you a great tool to use with our magnetic eyeliner if the top lash is already secured to the eyeliner, then you can use one of the tongs for holding your under lash to more easily bring it up to connect to the top lash.
